Tamada arises from in the midst of large fellowship of Georgians enjoying good food and drink.
"Gogi, give us a toast"
"Friends! Drink!"
"Well said, Gogi, good toast!"
After some time:
"Gogi, offer a toast"
"Friends! Drink!"
"Well said, Gogi, good toast!"
Tamada again rises in the midst of merriment, says:
"Vano, give us a toast"
"We have gathered all together here around this fabulous ..."
"Ee.. no, respected Vano, not like that - Gogi, give us a toast"
"Friends! Drink!"
A studentīs toast:
A drink to the health of those who think we study here!
A toast to wives and lovers, good health and may their parths never meet!
Who is a "real" man?
A "real" man is someone who gets out
of bed to rest.
A toast to real men!
Givi was sent out town on a work assignment. Suliko, Giviīs boss waited to hear from him for three days and three nights. No word. Suliko waited another three times three days and three nights but still Givi did not return.
Suliko then sent ten letters to ten towns to ten of Giviīs friends.
Ten identical responses arrived:
